To get paid job in Brazil, you will need a temporary or permanent residence permit, in addition to a work visa (Autorizaçao de Trabalho). It is the duty of your future employer in Brazil to make an application for your work permit at the Ministry of Labor and Employment (Ministério de Trabalho e Emprego) by supplying the contract of employment and some other documents. Once the application is accepted, you will have to make in your turn the application for a work visa with the Brazilian embassy or consulate in your country.
The Requirements for the work visa application:
To make an application for work permit in Brazil, your employer will have to supply your CV, your certificates and documents giving evidence of your education and your work experience, as well as a copy of your passport to the "Coordenaçao de Imigraçao do Ministério de Trabalho." Other documents can be asked according to the type of visa which you need. A list of these document is available on the Web site of the "Ministério de Trabalho e Emprego."
All your documents that are submitted for approval of the Brazilian authorities must be translated into Portuguese and certified before submission. The acceptance will be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will authorize the embassy or the responsible Brazilian consulate in your country to begin the procedure for the work visa.
When you apply for the work visa in your country, you will have to present:
1- A valid passport, which should remain valid during at least 6 months.
2- Two application forms available at the consulate.
3- Two passport photos.
4- An extract of police record of less than three months.
