There are a lot of students who wish to follow their studies in other countries, either through scholarships or internships. This article is about interships provided by (CIERA) which enables students, who are interested in the German language, to have a intership.
The Interdisciplinary Center of Studies and Researches on Germany (CIERA) proposes a help to the mobility of the students wishing to take an internship in Germany, in Austria or in Switzerland.
The amount of the internship is 610 euros a month magazine. It can cover until 6 months of internship. This internship addresses students who are at least first year Master Students, all combined nationalities.
When is the next call for applicants?
//Summer session 2017: For a financing which will come into effect between July, 2017 and January, 2018. The application process will begin in March 2017, and the deadline for sending the complet files is April, 30th, 2017. Incomplet files or files sent after the deadline will not be accepted. The results will be revealed at the end of June, 2017.
Conditions of elegibility:
1/ The helps to the mobility of CIERA addresses only the students, who are, at minimum, first year Master students, and who are enrolled in a study program in human and social sciences.
2/ The nationals of all countries can apply, under the condition that they are registered in a French institution of higher education (Master 1 or Master 2) and have been residing Mainly in France for at least one year.
3/ The internship must be made in a German institution or company, of a German language country. Excluded from this are: the internships in French diplomatic or cultural bodies abroad as well as in subsidiaries or antennas of companies or French associations abroad. And a particular attention will be carried out to the linguistic and professional environment of the internship.
4/ The applicant must be able to prove in a credible way a sufficient control of the German language, both in understanding and expression. Because the purpose of the help to the mobility cannot be the learning or the linguistic improvement of German.
5/ The helps in the mobility of the CIERA cannot be retroactive. For the winter session, the financing of the stay can come into effect only from February through June; and for the summer session, from July through January.
6/ Successful applicants will sign a convention with the CIERA and undertake, once their stay ended, a questionnaire of evaluation of their stay.
How the application process is done?
The application process has two steps: first, the students have to complete two on-line forms. Then, a paper file including letter in support of application, a letter of recommendation, a letter from the host company and a CV must be sent to the CIERA. It is essential to have found a host company before applying.
