Students who wish to study in Austria, and who do not leave to Austria within the framework of Erasmus program or within the framework of an agreement between your school and an Austrian university, have to go through the different steps to prepare and apply for study in Austria. The deadline of registration in a university in Austria is fixed on February, 1st, although certain universities can accept files after this date if there is a lack of students in certain study programs.
- The necessary documents to register in an Austrian university:
To register in an Austrian university, you can check the website of the establishment of your choice to find out the necessary documents you will have to supply to the university. You can apply online, if the university allows that. The registration file, generally, consists of the following documents:
1- Your high school diploma.
2- From 02 to 04 passport-size photos.
3- Your high school transcripts if you are applying for a post-baccalaureate study program.
4- Your transcripts of previous stuides if you made any post-diploma studies.
5- Two recommendation letters on behalf of your teachers, in connection with the materials that you wish to study.
6- One or several recommendation letters on behalf of your former employers.
7- Your CV.
8- A proof that you have an accepted level of German language (TestDaf).
- When to receive an answer of the Austrian university?
According to the chosen university, the chosen program of study or the number of applications, the Austrian university will answer you between "April and June". The answer can be sent to you by mail and/or by e-mail. In case, you receive a positive answer, it will be necessary to supply the set of documents required, in order to validate your registration and so be able to go and study in Austria.
