How To Get A Canadian Work Permit

In the last article about Canada, I talked about how to find and apply for a job in Canada. And Today, I am going to talk about how you can get a work permit in the country.

The Regulation and procedure to get a Canadian work permit:

Canada is a very desired destination by many educated and higly educated people. In this article, I am going to tell you who who can obtain a Canadian work permit and the procedures and other rules for getting it.

Every year, almost 100 000 qualified workers come to Canada because of lack of workforce in certain sectors. The CIC assigns visas according to the market need to stimulate the Canadian economy. In almost all of the cases, it requires a valid work permit.

Who is eligible to get a work permit?

Several conditions must be filled to obtain a Canadian work permit. First of all, You have to receive a job offer of a Canadian employer. When the offer is received, the Human Resources and Skills Development of Canada (HRSDC) will make an opinion about the labor market or simply confirm your offer in the labor market. HRSDC determines then if the work offer is justifiable, and if it serves to revitalize the Canadian market. If there is a lack of workforce in a sector in particular, the immigrant workers of this sector will have no problem to find an employment.

Some individuals can be exempt to satisfy some conditions for getting a work permit. You can obtain a work permit without confirmation of the Human resources and Skills Development of Canada (HRSDC) if you belong to one of the groups below:

1- Professionals, storekeepers and investors under the North American Free-Trade Agreement entering according to the regulation. This regulation also allows the establishment of the work permits for people, who enter Canada under other types of international agreements.

2- Some types of entrepreneurs, internal transferees to the company and other types of employees, who will supply the significant advantage to the Canadians or the permanent residents resident by working in Canada.

4- Foreign students studying in Canada, who have to work to carry out internships.
