What Are The Different Visas To Immigrate To Austria?

Austria is one of the most cultivated, beautiful and clean countries of Europe. The Economy of Austria is strong and stable, and the social services are very good. And although the prices of goods and services are high, Austrians can afford them because their income is good. In this context, a lot of foreigners try to immigrate to Austria and obtain a permanent residence permit.

Foreigners, who are interested in Austria, can obtain one of the four types of visas, which are available for a temporary stay in the country, but none of them are authorized to work in Austria:

1- The first type of visas (type A) is to be given to those who want to fly over the country, an option of public transportation.

2- The second type or "type B" is to be given to those who want to travel through the country on the ground transport, and it is valid for five days only.

3- The third type or "type C" is given to the tourists or the citizens of other countries, who want to stay with friends or parents in Austria. This type of visa allows you to stay for a long time in the country, no more than three months.

4- The fourth type or "type D" allows you to stay in the country. The difference with the other types of visas is that this one is purely national in Austria and the visa is only valid in the state and other states of the Schengen Area.

You can stay in Austria and, at the same time, have more rights than being granted a visa, but it is necessary to present a permit of stay or a residence permit. They are perpetual, and can have a strict validity period. A residence permit in Austria is given to students, who study in Austria, as well as, to the employees of international companies and their families. Residence permits are issued to foreigners staying for long term in the country, either in a property in the country or in the company, to gather with the family, and so on. You should not forget that the number of residence permits, which are given by the Austrian authorities during a year, are strictly limited quotas.
