If you are from Scandinavia or have a work permit in Norway, and if you have good physical shape, and willing to take on the physically demanding work and dream about to experience the beautiful northern Norway for a few months, then you have the chance to work with a salmon factory located on the island Arnøya in northern Norway. They are currently looking for people who can work in packaging the salmon. There are from 5 to 10 job positions available.
The job tasks:
The salmon are packed manually, and sorted by size and quality. Your job is to appreciate the quality of the salmon and choose the right number of fish in the packaging station and to put labels on the packages. The work is quite physically demanding and is suitable for people with a good sense of order, who manages to keep the focus in shifts so that the fish are packaged and labeled properly.
When the jobs starts and how much you will get paid?
The job will be starting between the 3rd week and 5th week of 2017 until Easter (the exact dates agreed with the employer). The salary will be according to tariff agreements about NOK175 per hour. The accommodation provided:
The employer has access to a studio flats, where you can rent a private room of about 8 square meters, and has access to a common kitchen and living room (cost approximately between NOK2500 and NOK3000 a month, including electricity, internet, TV, etc.). They will also consider the possibility of renting apartments or part of a house near the workplace.
The qualifications you should have for the job:
- You should be able to speak a Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian or Danish).
- You must be between 18-28 years old.
- You must be a citizen of a Nordic country or an EU country, or have a work permit in Norway.
- You are responsible, careful and physically enduring.
- Previous experience in fishing and the food industry is an advantage.
