Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and it is located on the Persian Gulf. The modern emirate of Dubai was created with the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. Dubai is nowadays one of the wonders of the modern world. Before thinking of going to Dubai, make sure you understand your legal situation. Depending on your nationality, you might need a visa, residence permit and/or work permit. In this article, I am going to talk about how you can find a job in the Emirate of Dubai.




The job search in Dubai can be a little demoralizing experience. However, by following the steps mentioned below, you can maximize your chances to find your dream job, which everybody speaks about in Dubai.



1/ Use social networks:


Dubai is a city where everything passes by the social networks, started from the organization of sports events to the suggestions of the inhabitants for the government. There are numerous groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google + etc. allowing you to put yourself in connection with people already working in the country. 




It is also useful to note that being now "expats," a whole world of networks offers itself to you such as Internations, which organizes regularly evenings events of networking to allow its members to enter in connection with the employers and also with the recruiters.

2- Search for jobs posted on websites:

There is an incredible number of websites to find a work in Dubai, so that it is sometimes impossible to check all them. There are tens of recruitment agencies, sites of classified ads, etc., where hundreds of job offers appear every day. Certain offers are more or less serious, but one thing's for sure, among all the announcements, there will be at least one to throw you in the adventure. Things you need to know:


- English is the language mostly spoken in Dubai. If you speak Arabic it is a plus, but you will face a great deal of difficulties finding a work if you do not speak a minimum English. 


- In Dubai, it is illegal for a recruitment agency to charge you when you register, because they are already paid by companies. 

- Companies in Dubai usually look for somebody already possessing an experience in the Middle East. You can accept a less-paid job paid for a duration of a few months to acquire one an experience. 

- Once you receive a job offer, do not hesitate to negotiate it with your employer.
