If you are interestd in studying in Denmark, then you should prepare yourself starting from January of the preceding year before your study course in Denmark begins. The begining of a new term is being in September, and the establishments have fixed the deadline to postulate on March, 15th, of every year. If you wish to join one semester only, and to begin your study in January, it will be necessary that you apply before September, 1st. A- How to apply to a Danish university "January through March"
There is not, unfortunately, a centralized system for applications to universities in Denmark, thus it will be necessary that you send a request to each of the universities which interest you. Nowadays, the majority of Danish universities allow to send the application file by internet, which facilitates the understanding of documents to be sent and the structure of the file.
As a rule, the deadline is being March, 15th, for a registration. So, it is better that you send your files starting from January, to avoid any unexpected problems, such as, an incomplete file. If certain universities accept students by asking them to take a language test afterward, most ask this test to be already included in the file. Thus, if possible, take the test of language in advance.
B- Take languagre tests "from January through May"
The advantage of studying in Denmark is that it is possible to choose English as the language of the course, because English is widely-spread in the kingdom. On the other hand, you should prove your English skills with English tests you took, such as: TOEFL, IELTS, or TOEIC, which is accepted by certain universities. The tests minimum score is very often close to Anglo-Saxon universities with 80/120 in TOEFL and 6.5 in IELTS.
C- Receive an answer from Danish universities "from May through July"
Starting from May, you will receive the answers of universities. If your file was complete when you sent it, you will have more chances to receive an answer in a short time. In case of a refusal, the answers are multiple, it can be bacause of an insufficient file or a problem of quotas because the number of international students by establishments being limited.
